Bio

Where Ed Came From

Ed grew up on the East Coast in a little town called Burgeo Newfoundland. He Moved to The West Coast in 1994 and now lives in Nanaimo B.C.

Experience

Ed's been singing since he was a little kid. He Learned Guitar at age 11 and started writing songs at age 15. Ed was shy until He performed for the first time in public on local cable TV station at the age of 14. The shyness left Ed pretty quick. He sang at school in front of everyone and played backup guitar for a girl group of singers.
Ed played in 2 bands from 2000-2003 we played bars, pubs, coffee houses, restaurants, winter events, a wedding and He even got asked personally to play at a friends funeral. Ed took a break from music in 2003 as he was in 2 bands and work was steady and it was just too much and not fun anymore. Ed got back into music in 2009 because work was slow so he seized the opportunity. He played at Coombs fair in August 9/2009 then the Dinghy Dock Pub August 17 and Ed Got asked to play again on August 22. That was Ed's first Solo gig! Both nights were a sucess so the owner said he would have Ed back this spring at least once a month. Ed's been writing and co- writing songs lately with a friend from Ontario. Their latest Collaboration is called "Always Tomorrow" It's on Ed's myspace profile.
Ed also played many benefits and fundraisers in the past. Some of which were for a soup kitchen that a church sponsored. It served people from 7am til 11 am. It was called the 7/11 club. Ed just recently played at a fundraiser for a operation and special Helmet that wasnt covered by Medical Services Plan B.C. for a friend of Ed's baby boy. Ed Also likes to goto open mics too when He can.
