Bio
Ed Breazeale is a drummer who loves to perform and entertain. Ed was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He began playing drums at age 10 and started playing professionally at age 14. In 1995, Ed moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to study at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. While in school Ed maintained a busy performance schedule, having the opportunity to play styles of music ranging from symphonic to country and western. In August of 2001 Ed left Cincinnati for Chicago. Since moving Ed has been fortunate enough to perform with a number of local noteables. These include: Bobby Broom, Steve Million, Ryan Cohan, Scott Burns, and Larry Gray among others. Also, Ed has shared the stage with jazz luminaries such as: Cyrus Chesnut, Maria Schnieder, Billy Hart, Jim Snidero, Tim Ries and Brad Goode. Ed has been a featured performer with the Louisville Symphony Orchestra, and the CCM Philharmonia.
The recordings contained in the EPK feature The Ed Breazeale Group. This group performs together regularly throughout Chicago and the surrounding area. They are an acoustic jazz group performing original music and arrangements of jazz, pop, latin, and R&B music. This group is capable of creating a wide variety of aesthetics.
