From track 1 through 12, Ed Chapman explores modern Christian life in America. Starting with his take on the classic, Amazing Grace, to the powerful Just One Touch and ending with Heal Our Land, It's A Good Thing entertains and convicts. - Brad Hopkins

As the programmer for our local talent show called New Mountain Praise, I have had the chance to work with Ed Chapman. First, let me say his devotion to God is as true as it gets. Everything he sings is for the glory of the Lord. I have also had the chance to hear his first CD. I know that Ed put a lot of time and thought into this project and it was well worth the wait. From "Amazing Grace" to "Heal Our Land," each song shows his love for the Lord and his faith in God. Let me also say that his music has received numerous requests at our radio station. In fact, we do a top 10 show once a month based on request and Ed has constantly been in that countdown. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys straight, honest and praise music. - Bryan Adkins

Ed Chapman has a heart for God and a passion to worship Him, This is evident in his music. His debut album, "It's a Good Thing", is filled with upbeat and spirit-filled songs. I especially like "Heal Our Land". In the troubled times and troubled land we live in it is inspiring to know we have continuous prayers to our Heavenly Father to... Heal Our Land. - Chuck Chambliss

Bio

Ed's love for music and sharing God's truth with others through it is only surpassed by his love for his God and his family. Growing up in a broken home and becoming the man of God that he has become is only by the amazing grace of God. He knows that during those difficult years that God's hand was guiding him, protecting him, and molding him into the person he is today. For that reason, he wouldn't change anything that has happened in his past. Ed longs to reach out to a hurting world, to those struggling with life...their past, present or future...and let them know there's hope. God's love and grace is for everyone and there is nothing you could do that can change that and "it's a good thing".

That's what this solo project is all about. It's a Good Thing recognizes God's sacrifice, His grace and the providence and magnificence of God. It challenges Christians to live a life without compromise and draws non-believers to the life changing truth of the gospel of Christ.

Ed is the first to acknowledge that this project is not his own, but birthed from God. That's the only explanation. God gave him these songs to minister to a hurting and broken world. Ed's sole desire is to use his musical talents to the glory of God, his Father...his dad. His testimony is powerful, inspiring and changing every day. God is still molding, breaking, shaping and growing him.

Ed is married to his wife of 13 years, Jeanne, and has four beautiful and inspiring children: Kristen, Connor, Carter, and Carson. Natives of St. Louis, Missouri they currently reside and minister in Kenova, West Virginia.
