CANADA– Eddie Bullen arrived in Canada in 1980 with his family and his desire to be involved in music led him right to the club scene. There he became instantly recognizable to other musicians and entertainers in the Toronto music scene for his enthusiasm on stage and his ability to inspire those around him.
It didn’t take long for Eddie’s production capability to shine and musical alliances to form; success was right around the corner with his production talents. In 1987, Eddie opened Thunder Dome Sounds, the project studio which has since been developed into a full production facility.
His talents have led to many successful hits worldwide. His many accomplishments include: a Juno Award for Liberty Silver’s Hit “Lost Somewhere Inside your Love”, Sway’s “Hands Up”, which garnered gold status. Through Thunder Dome Sounds, Eddie has worked with artists like Deborah Cox, Oleta Adams, Michelle Wright, Dan Hill, Canadian jazz singer Salome Bey, David Tyson and Eric Mercury.
Eddie has produced albums for a wide range of artists that include pop stars 11:30, rapper Maestro, smooth jazz artist Alex Walker, Bill Sharpe, Sarah Pacheco, Andrea Lewis, gospel artists Selections and jazz organist Kingsley Ettiene.
He also composes jingles for commercial television stations like City TV, YTV and TMN. Serving as Musical Director of Golden Soul Classics, Eddie has had the opportunity to work with Percy Sledge, Ben E. King and the Platters, and Ace Cannon.
Besides managing a family and his career, Eddie is also able to fulfill his passion of nurturing youth by way of a co-operative education program he has been involved in since 1994. It is this type of commitment that keeps Eddie growing as an artist and as a person. The demand for quality jazz acts has kept Eddie traveling around the world, sharing his talent with smooth jazz fans everywhere. Performing material from his albums “Nocturnal Affair” and “Make It Real”, the artistry of Eddie Bullen is obvious and his dynamic stage presence keeps his audiences wanting more. Often received as the highlight of the festival, Eddie’s performances demonstrate his ability to be equally at home on the stage as he is in the production studio. Touring jazz festivals is something Eddie enjoys very much. Included on the list of festivals he has performed at are: The Barbados jazz festival, the Cayman Islands jazz festival, and the Grenada spice jazz festival. He’s played alongside acts like Wynton Marsalis, Elaine Elias, Tito Puente, Roberta Flack, Kenny G., Freddie Jackson, Dean Fraser, Regina Belle, Luther Vandross, Arturo Sandoval, George Benson and Earth Wind & Fire.
