Biography

From The Steel Mill, To The Stage is the story behind Lead Vocalist, Eddie Crowe, Song writer and Founder of the Blues Unchained. Eddie is a Veteran Steelworker in his Hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.
Eddie worked at Bethlehem Steel for 29.5 years, until the corporation went bankrupt,
stripping him of his retirement pension and benefits. If ever there was a reason to scream the blues, thats a good start. Eddies love of live music began as a small child. He was always right up in front of the band, whenever his parents would go out to family oriented social club events. There were also several bands in his neighbor hood. When they practiced he would hear it and be right there on the scene listening and learning. All of Eddies free time, when not working rotating shifts
was spent on the Live Music Scene. Eventually he started playing drums and then becoming a singer. Eddie took note of who was the best at the local jam sessions that he attended frequently. In 2000 he applied for and got a daylight job. The job, as a mechanic in the BULL GANG meant hard manual labor, every day, when he could have cruised a little on the evening shifts. Eddie wanted to form a band of his own and felt it was worth it.
Some of the people that he jammed or played in bands with are: James Cotton Blues Band,Walter Lightninbug Rhodes( former guitarist, band leader of Wilson Pickett 4 yrs 1962-66 ), Johnathon Burton ( guitarist for the manhattans 8 yrs ) Guy phillips, guitarist of The Comets, Little Mike and the Tornadoes,Eddie Guitar Burns,Drink Small,Skeeter Brandon (kbd, Clarence Carter, Shi Lites ), and a multitude of other renoun musicians.
The Blues Unchained is a band formed through years of research ..the who's who of the blues in this region as Eddie puts it. I couldnt ask for a better bunch of musicians to express my music.

Lyrics

Fishin' on Chesapeake Bay

Written By: Eddie Crowe

Don't you bother me about anything today.
I don't care what you do and I don't care what you say.
I'm goin fishin',
fishin' on Chesapeake Bay.

Whatever you need from me is gonna have to wait.
I got a cooler full of beer and a bucket of fresh cut bait
I'm gonna catch me some fish, oh baby!
Its gona be great.

I'm goin fishin'!, fishin' on Chesapeake Bay.
Makin up stories 'bout the ones that got away.
When I go fishin',
fishin' on Chesapeake Bay.

Don't want no fussin', dont want no fightin'.
Leave me alone while the fish are bitin', come on!,
Baby I'll show you the way,
to go fishin',
fishin' on Chesapeake Bay.

When I start to fishin', I just can't stop.
I hook-em on the bottom and I reel-em to the top. Oh baby!,
It's surely gonna' make my day.
When I go fishin',
fishin' on Chesapeake Bay.

If I get a little tired, I stretch out in my cabin,
Get a little rest, wake-up and do some crabbin', Oh baby!
Just can't wait to get away,
when I go fishin',
fishin' on Chesapeake Bay.

I might catch 1, I might catch 2,
might not catch nothin', or I might catch a few
but I don't care!
Just as long as I can get away,
when I go fishin',
fishin' on Chesapeake Bay.

Baby I'm goin fishin,
fishin on Chesapeake Bay
floatin all around just passin my time away,
I'm goin fishin,
Fishin on Chesapeake Bay

B-L-U-E-S

Written By: Eddie Crowe

YOU WON'T SEE ME UNDER THE HOOD.
YOU WON'T SEE ME CHOPPIN' WOOD
YOU WON'T SEE ME BUILD NO SHED.
THATS THE KIND OF WORK I DREAD.
I GOT TO DO WHAT I DO BEST
I GOTTA SING THE B-L-U-E-S

YOU WON'T SEE ME TURN NO BOLTS
OR MESSIN ROUND WITH TEN THOUSAND VOLTS
NO TIME FOR FUN AND GAMES.
MY LIFE IS BOUND TO CHANGE
I GOT TO DO WHAT I DO BEST
I GOTTA SING THE B-L-U-E-S

I AIN'T TRYIN TO STEP ON TOES
I'M JUST TRYIN TO HEAL MY WOES
IT'S TUFF BUT I GOT TO TRY.
AND I WILL TILL THE DAY I DIE.
I GOT TO DO WHAT I DO BEST
I GOTTA SING THE B-L-U-E-S

ITS COFFEE TIME
