Having stepped briefly into the limelight of 2012's The X Factor, Eddy String found momentary fame as a dandy pin up for teenage girls nationwide. But now it's 2013, & Eddy's going to have to pull something more serious out the bag if he wants to be remembered at all come the end of the year! So with the glossy sheen of prime time telly shaken off, is there really anything beneath the surface of this cheeky nitwit that we should spare our time for?
Eddy's been playing in bands on the south coast since he was an early teen, it really was any excuse to be on a stage! Whether it was punk, indie or metal, Eddy has given it a go (to varying degrees of success). Stepping out from behind his guitar around 2009, Eddy found his place as a frontman, but shunned any kind of vocal tuition until November 2012; & that is the reason that right now Eddy is such an interesting performer to see; a bloke comfortable with handling a crowd; a bloke who's more uncomfortable when he's not on a stage; but a bloke who's only just come into his own doing what he's meant to have been doing all along!
