Bio

Eden's music is a multicultural Jazz fusion and a mirror to her life: Born in Paris, grown up in Tel-Aviv, travelling all over the world and cooperating with well known musicians. Eden's vocal abilities remind of the great ladies of Jazz: Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Diana Washington and her eclectic repertoire includes songs in English, French, Creole, Hebrew and Portuguese.
Eden's music has a unique style that combines Jazz roots and harmonies with Brazilian influences and African traditional rhythms. Her concerts are melodic, rhythmic, sweeping and soulful. In her tones Eden creates an impressing bridge between cultures.
These very days, Eden is releasing her second album "IRRESISTIBLE", accompanied by prestigious international Jazz musicians from Israel, New York and La Réunion. The album was recorded in Israel and La Réunion, mixed and mastered in Paris. Not only consists this project in her own compositions, lyrics and production, but it is also a premiere: the first collaboration between an Israeli Jazz ensemble and musicians from the island La Réunion, one of the overseas departments of France, east to Madagascar.
Leading musicians in Israeli Jazz scene accompany Eden Holan in her quartet. Furthermore, she can also join local ensembles as she has already done in leading jazz festivals in France, China, Africa and USA.

In her first album "Inspiration" (2011), Eden demonstrated her aptitude in interpreting Jazz standards. She was accompanied by leading musicians in the Israeli Jazz scene. The disc was released in Israel, where it is broadcasted in all the radio Jazz programs playlists. It led her to perform in different Jazz festivals as well as in the best Jazz clubs in Israel.

During summer of 2008 in the Jazz Festival of Marciac, Eden discovered "le maloya", a traditional Reunionese rhythm, and fell in love with its energy and magic. Since then, she has learnt the Creole language and culture, she studies their different music styles and keeps in constant touch with Reunionese musicians. Her musical project builds a bridge between those two cultures, and she feels that "it is the beginning of a wonderful friendship!"
Through her music, Eden aims to create an artistic harmony between both her French and Israeli native cultures, therefore her lyrics are in French, Creole and Hebrew.

About the Artist:
