"Edens Fill"

Edens Fill, Tallahassee's sweetest rock band, is mostly known around town for tearing apart the stage at Bullwinkle's Saloon. Bullwinkle's, which is more of a bar than a concert venue, sees many a mosh pit when EF takes their tiny stage. Here the guys play cover songs so flawlessly that you tend to forget the original songs ever even had original versions. Three intense hours of all of the best rock songs from bands like Taking Back Sunday, Smashing Pumpkins, Sublime, Jimmy Eat World, Brand New, Alkaline Trio, and even Michael Jackson, will have even the most dressed-up girls adorned in high heels rocking out (that is if they haven't yet made their way onto the stage).

These four musicians each bring something amazing into the band. Barry's vocals are soothing and always spot on and resemble the kind of soothing powerful vocals of Incubus front man Brandon Boyd. He also has a stage presence that seems suited for a lead vocalist playing packed arenas. Lead guitarist Ryan can hit any solo without error and takes charge of background vocals that mostly require his throat tearing screaming. Caleb’s fingers move effortlessly across his bass strings to the point where he can finish off an entire cigarette without ever putting down his bass. And lastly, Andrew’s unbelievable drumming could take him head-to-head vs. someone like Travis barker.

When they aren't jamming their hearts out at Bullwinkle's you can find Edens Fill polishing up their originals, and playing them at shows around North Florida. They recently spent some time in the Funkadelic legend George Clinton's Tallahassee studio recording tracks for their upcoming album. The album was finished up by the guys in their own practice/storage unit in the wee hours of the morning, like true rock stars. The album, which will be their first full-length recorded album, will include some of their most frequently performed songs, “Since Then,” “Story Forward,” and their newest song “Sincerely, Me.” Also on the album, will be a number of older songs, including “Dear Dad” and “As The Ivy Grows,” which were written by the band years back. “Sincerely, Me,” which the band hopes will be their breakout single, is one of their more melodic songs. With its catchy chorus and well put together lyrics like “This time’s scene we’ve seen before” or “We wrestle with the past / To be better than the last/ Last longer than the next/ A name never laid to rest,” “Sincerely, Me” is sure to remain playing in your mind hours after you’ve left a show. The song “Story Forward” has a catchy melody that is comparable to very early Taking Back Sunday, especially in the song’s chorus. In combination with the other songs planned for the album, the final product yet to be named will be an hour of untainted local rock music, which masses of spirit and energy drinks went into.

"Local Lowdown"

Edens Fill with What, Violation of Probation and Seeking Sui

Oct. 9 - 8:30 p.m. at The Beta Bar

There is something to be said about a band whose lyrics cover more than the standard set of the depravity of the female gender and failing livers due to over indulgence.

According to the band's MySpace, their songs encompass "intense, emotionally driven lyrics, which strive to expose the unseen flaws of humanity through satirical dark metaphors while maintaining a heavily optimistic attitude."

Edens Fill loads the alternative rock craving, while simultaneously providing their audiences with an intense passion and "a captivating tour into the soul of humanity while rocking the mind with a new style of music."
