Bio
Eden Smith, a native Texan, migrated north to Seattle two years ago to pursue music. Spending a year playing as a solo artist allowed her to get into the hearts of Seatte-ites one cup of coffee at a time. At the end of that year she began working on the production of her debut album, "Spoonfuls."
"Spoonfuls" introduces an unapologetic collection of songs, both playful and nostalgic. Her ballads reflect her engagement with the world, celebrating its quirks and sitting with its sorrows. The presence she holds on stage offers an unexpected, challenging, and alluring honesty, which separates her from many of her peers.
Throughout the course of her album, Eden brought other musicians into her creative space. They continue to keep her on her toes and the collaboration opens up new horizons, influencing her constantly evolving sound.
Eden's influences range from folk-rock, indie, electronic, R&B. An abbreviated list: Damien Rice, Ben Harper, Regina Spektor, Feist, Portishead, Ani Difranco, Sigur Ros, Coldplay, Belle & Sebastian, Iron & Wine, David Gray, Lauryn Hill, Rachel Yamagata, Tori Amos, Sufjan Stevens, Thom Yorke, etc.
