Bio

Nowadays Edgar Allen Poet (EAP) is in the studio contributing production and feature vocals on upcoming projects with artists "Q", "Killa Sin" from "Wu-Tang" "Killa Army", "Young Rew The Paperboy", and original music submissions for ABC's "One Life to Live" as well as his own sophmore R&B effort entitled "The Music The Maestro The Man" EAP makes the music, makes believers, and makes it possible to indulge in real soul music . Born in Berkeley,CA. raised in Indianapolis, IN. EAP's early music influence came from The Golden Era of Hip-Hop in the 80's and early 90's along with Classic Soul/R&B of the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Coming from a family of singers, a career in the entertainment industry was a virtual default as EAP was already writing original songs at 10 years old. It was also about this time that EAP developed a talent for writing lyrics as an MC as well as Dee Jaying neighborhood block parties. EAP has participated in multiple specialty choirs/ensambles all through school, and various talent/variety showcases throughout the Midwest. While in high school and thereafter, EAP had several opportunites to share the stage with some of the music industry's biggest names (mentioned below) EAP describes his style as "A Contemporary Throwback", that's new music with an oldschool feel, so everyone will love it but the 25 and up crowd will love it the most. EAP writes and produces all of his own music, and in 2000 he relocated to Seattle, Washington to further pursue his music career.
