Bio
With a strong constitution for “Weed, Women and Wine”, Toronto-based fivesome Edge City Outlaws are preparing to take North America by hedonistic storm in 2006 with the release of their debut album.
Formerly known as “Sound and Fury” at their inception in 2003, the band (comprised of Luke Metcalf - Lead Vocals, Griffin - Lead Guitar, Peter Copp –Rhythm Guitar, Ken Boehm – Bass, and Stephan Szczesniak - Drums) united forces to bring some old fashioned attitude back to the live music circuit. Inspired by punk and classic rock, the band mixes its hybrid sound with an unabashed honesty hard for the world at large to ignore.
Eventually the majors couldn’t turn a blind eye to well-timed chaos either. Edge City Outlaws inked a deal with Universal Republic Records in the US in late 2005, who are slated to unveil their debut album later this year after some intensive radio and pre-promotion (the band are currently #1 on WKLC, and are receiving heavy rotation on at 30 stations and climbing in the United States).
Armed with a legion of young and loyal fans, a bottle of JD and a ton of bravado, Edge City Outlaws are guaranteed to find their way to your town this year, granted that no radio station, venue, or private stash will be left unscathed.
- March 2006
