EdgeLand

Since 2008, EdgeLand has taken many different forms. First as "The Spades," then as "The KO Kids," and finally, after adding 2 new members, solidified as EdgeLand. While members, business, and situations have all changed, their production of unique music has yet to cease.

The band remained busy from the very get go playing at nearly every venue in Louisville including Headliners, Uncle Pleasants, Tailgaters, Jefferson Riverstage, Bearnos, Frazier Arms Museum, Waterfront Park, and the University of Louisville. Throughout 2008 the band forged working relationships with Gorilla Productions and Ink Music Management to expand their music and potential. These colorful experiences helped develop the group into a mature, knowledgeable group of musicians.

After picking up Ramsey Morton (Keyboard/Synth) and Cameron Kalegi (DJ Prism) in November 2009, EdgeLand's sound slowly morphed from a full rock sound to a modern hybrid of electronic/hiphop/rock. Not more than a few months later, the band entered into DeadBird studios to record their first official album. This 4 track EP debut's the musicians' taste for a mix of complexity with pop simplicity.

SO. What is EdgeLand?

EdgeLand is a high-energy college rock band based out of the University of Louisville. They seek to push the trend in hip-hop/dance/progressive rock all while retaining the organic sound of real instruments. Their purpose is to move the minds and bodies of the people and eventually rule the world.
