Bio

"Sometimes there's a band. . .."
-The Stranger

Pre-embryonic argonauts, Edge of Jupiter, suddenly materialized in 1994ad, when, at 14 years and 5 moons, Mike and Guy took up instruments and started writing spooky rock songs. The band's songwriting quickly and often changed shape, and morphed the group. Phenom guitarist, philanathropist and classmate, Eric, double turtle-waxed and polished to a fine glow, the surface of the sound. They took all the furniture out of Guy's house while on February recess, and the Album, "Bothe Worlds" was birthed in two afternoons. After making and circulating 4 million+ mix tapes and playing at least 6 shows, the band picked up another guitarist, Adam, and began to change it's tune for the impending millenium. For some reason or another, people took quickly to the bands creative use of live acupuncture, and the band was nominated 19 years early for the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame", located on the balmy shores of Lake Erie.

In 2000 the band was back to it's 2 core members, when local cover band, "the Schick Trio", consisting of Jay, Neil and Ben, dissolved into the fabric of Edge of Jupiter. Now, all joined up, and as a five-piece, Edge recorded 2 Interdimentionaly relevent albums:
"Strangers at Separate Distances From One Another", a double theme album, and
"Time Is Fast Fiction", recorded and mixed by the band. Both releases chronicled the bands rise to power, the sociogalactic wars, and describe in detail, the last human revolution. The band's unique style began to mature, and edge played Shit-tons of shows, with little to no drama. Throughout all those years of trials and tribulations, the band never had good monitors at their space... ain't that messed up?

As audiences heard these 2 albums in headphones, they quit their jobs at an alarming rate, with American and EU unemployment spiking to an unprecedented 14.7% in some countries. The band began to develop a brazen, filthy, cult following nationally. Eventually, Jay and Ben moved to Thailand to combat deforestation, leaving Mike, Guy and Neil behind to work on their most recent album, "Nothing Knew"; dedicated to growing up in the Kodak loop of the rapidly fading "rust belt".

Plans are constructed as the Celestial Bodies finally align with the Edge of Jupiter....and we shall be ushered into the house of Aquarius.

Dreams and daydreams hold a special place in the bands lyrics, as the band name stems from a series of nightmares Guy had as a kid about the planet Jupiter, where he and Mike were born out of a gaseous volcano. Most of the lyrics on "Nothing Knew" tell the story of a kid, utterly alone in the last city on the former earth, which will happen, in the fourth month of the year 2012.

The band is playing shows regionally and booking celestially, while promoting the upcoming release of "Nothing Knew". New addition on drums, Ian, pounds relentlessly, with machine-gun drum fills and beats you can set your doomclock to. You can come stay with us. We just gotta check with the Mrs.
