Energetic and Soulful music from the heart!

Biography

Chicago-based Singer/Songwriter, Ed Gershon, caught the music wave at three years of age. "The Record, The Record" is what I used to run around saying. Music was always around. I would listen to the Beatles and James Taylor. My grandmother would play piano and my Uncle would spin me blues legends. I just got influenced by what ever music I could get my hands on. I played saxophone and clarinet prior to the guitar. Playing guitar and singing, Ed is no stranger to the stage- performing at venues throughout the Chicago area. He also traveled out for a memorable show at Arlene's Grocery in New York City. Ed has also spent the past three years performing two hour acoustic sets at Potbelly Sandwich Stores in Kildeer and Deerfield, IL. He has managed to build a local following, selling hundrends of copies of his music without the support of radio or label distribution. Ed's music is honest and soulful, attracting a broad audience. "Music is what I love to do- it is what I dream about. I'm grateful for the ability to share my thoughts and life with the community. Seeing someone smiling and dancing is the greatest reward- after all that's what music is about."
