Ed Hartman composes and performs music from around the world. As a performer he plays a 7 & 1/2 foot long Honduras Rosewood Marimba. Ed is a top percussionist in the NW, and has toured and performed with a variety of artists. As a composer Ed writes orchestral, jazz and electronic music.

Biography

Media Credits: Ed has scored music for film, T.V., radio, and even a planetarium. His music has been heard in the motion pictures "The Blind Side" and "Scooby Doo, The Mystery Begins" (Warner Bros.), "Surviving Christmas" (Dreamworks), "Mini's First Time" (Bold Films), "Forbidden Fruit" (Jeff Madsen Productions), and "The Parlyzing Agent" (Z Flight Productions). Ed scored music for the the documentary: "Project Colombia" (The MapMakers) and the short film "End Zone" (Seattle International Fly Film Festival) along with incidental music for the feature "Fitz" (Who Made Who Productions) - 2008 Alberta Film and Television Awards Nominee: Best Feature Film). Ed's music has been on television, including: "Twas the Night", "Katie Morgan", Big Love (HBO) and "Passions" (NBC), "Doc-Block" (MSNBC), "Greek" (ABC Family) , "Emeril Green" (GREEN), "Nature" (PBS), "Channel 5 Takes Latin", "Relic Hunter " (TRAVEL), "Shalom In The Home" (TLC), and Current TV.

Ed Hartman and The Olympic Marimba band perform a variety of original and well known music from around the world. The band performs Brazilian Sambas, African-World Groove music, Caribbean Calypsos, Cuban Latin Jazz, and Swing.
