Bio

Edison, like their namesake, strives for invention and passion in the music they create. Their sound and unique lifestyle, is roots-based and hard-driving. Organic, yet earsplitting, Edison celebrates an ever-endangered brand of underground rock-n-roll spirit. In an era where much of modern rock has devolved into digitized, pre-fab, anger management, Edison understands that a thorny dose of raw emotion, searing imagery, and fully developed sonic arrangements are the wellspring from which true cutting edge music flows.
This is an intensely captivating live band that has built a strong regional following around mystique. Singer Ethan Isaac and guitarist Jonathan Svec (formerly of Columbia Records and J Records Recording Group Splender) joined forces with drummer Todd Mathieu Budich and bassist Jay Salley to invent Edison. Ethans years of recording and touring with the band Wooden blended perfectly with Jonathan's stunning and skillful vision developed Throughout his years of experience in the world of rock music.
Hailing from various parts of the country, Edison has set up camp in a once famous cowboy ranch in the Blackhead Mountains of New York State. All but abandoned when they first arrived, the band and friends have reinvented, or rather, revived a magical underground scene. Almost instantaneously, the compound, now known as The Ranch, took on a life of its own as an esteemed gathering place for musicians and fans alike. Since then, the community of recording artists and performers has grown to include not only local talent, but also an array of national acts, from Parliament Funkadelic to members of Lenny Kravitz, The B-52's, and The Dave Matthews Band.
Edisons first single, Ocean Waves is currently receiving commercial radio airplay in various markets, from Woodstock's own WDST, to Albany's beacon rock station WHRL.
Edison doesn't second-guess the latest trends-- they keep things fresh by creating timeless, message-driven songs free from the formulaic trappings of copycat pop iconography. It's vital, essential stuff from which hibernating fanatics might just be convinced to crawl back out of their burrows and restore rock-n-roll to its rightful place.
