Ed Kamenitzer

Ed Kamenitzer

A singer/songwriter/guitarist that likes to pull from all styles. Songwriting being the most important element, is seasoned with styles that fit the tone of each song. New song, new taste. Ranging from folk rock to R&B to bluegrass to soul... all with a groove that hits home strong.

Influenced by the likes of Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood to Duncan Sheik and Josh Rouse, singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer, Ed Kamenitzer is about to take a solo journey into the heart and soul of the world around him.
This is his story:
Born July 23rd 1979, Ed Kamenitzer came into this world screaming. Raised in, the once farm town Wayne, New Jersey... where he remembers feeding the chickens at Karen's Chicken farm when he was just old enough to walk. Ed accounts this as being his introduction to "keepin' real". As Ed grew older and his love for music blossomed, he kept the "keepin' real" feel... and asked his father for an acoustic guitar for his 14th birthday. From there, Ed studied the classics from the Beatles to Bob Dylan to Eric Clapton. Self taught stylings became more educated through studying under Jazz guitarist, Joe Knipes. Knipes gave Ed the confidence and know how to try-out for tri-state area cover band, "The Understudies."
"The Understudies" turned into an original project within 2 years time... changing the name of the band to "SODA 75". Ed was the frontman of the band doing majority of vocals with occasional guest female vocals. Ed, always being a fan of female vocals, started a band with his sister in 2001 called "Coventry Road" which disbanded after 2 years of gigging the nj/ny area. Continuing on with his sister, the two went out as a duo for a short while before becoming another full band project, "The Radio Galaxy."
So here he is, doing what he loves to do best, writing, recording and touring. This time its going to be solo. Keep your ears and eyes wide open for whats to come. Tour dates are expected starting January 2007 accompanied by Ed Kamenitzer's debut cd.
