He is American. He is Colombian. A 200% person. He is helping to define New America. He is breaking down barriers and testing his limitations. He is sampling it all, making it his own, creating a 200% sound. American born, Eduardo (edo) spent the first part of his childhood in Bogota, the heart and capital of Colombia where he was surrounded by the music, language and culture of his parents native country. At the age of four Eduardos parents divorced initiating a life of travel and constant movement. When he was only seven he moved to Texas with his mother and sister. There that he spent the next seven years developing his voice through choir training, but it was rock music that became Eduardos ultimate refuge. After a rebellious struggle, Eduardo convinced his mother to allow him to return to Bogota with his father. edo has been interweaving the sounds of his two cultures ever since. The musical spirit of a passionate yet politically insecure country combined with a country of freedom and opportunity lead to the creation of his original sound. Eduardos heritage infused him with music everywhere he went, including Bambuco that his father played, along with bossa nova, Peruvian waltz, salsa, merengue, rock, R&B, and hip hop. His music embodies the percussive root of Latin rhythms and the unencumbered nature of rock n roll. It is these dual sounds and cultures that make his music unique. Exciting balance200% music.
