Bio

RENE LAMONTAGNE (composer, lyricist, vocals, guitar) is the primary creative force behind EDWARD EDON. Hailing from Quebec, RENE has been involved in writing and performing music for 15 years. He began fronting his own successful rock band, Nothing and Mystery Clown Circus, which opened for the band, Simple Plan. His band won several awards for songwriting. He had lead acting roles in Luc Plomondon's productions of "Starmania" and "Hair."
In 2010, RENE created his new band, EDWARD EDON. His present collection of songs are arranged by two of Montreal’s top arrangers, PIERRE ST-JEAN and HABIB ZEKRI. The former is from Montreal, the latter from Tunisia.
RENE has composed music extensively for Montreal theater and has composed numerous works for Les Coups de Tête, a publishing house that produces Internet commercials throughout Canada. One of RENE’s works was prominently featured on the Canadian TV news, Le Téléjournal. As a solo artist, RENE LAMONTAGNE has performed in various international venues including Cuba, Italy, France, Santa Fe and Hollywood, California.

PIERRE ST-JEAN:
Pierre entered the club scene at the age of 16 as a guitar player. When he reached 18yo, he took place as a singer/guitar player in a band called Wideside in Montreal. His first appearance on an album was at the age of 23 as a bass player in the international band called Voïvod ("The Outer Limits", MCA Records, Universal). He also joined the band on tour in the US to support the album. At the same time, Wideside's music becomes closer to progressive Rock and change their name for Heaven's cry. Heaven's Cry recorded it's first album in 1995 called "Food For Thought Substitute" and a second album in 2002 called "Primal Power Addiction. A tour in Europe followed. In 1997, Pierre also joined AlcoholicA - the ultimate tribute to Metallica - who performs 80 to a 100 shows a year since then.

KERRY KING: Kerry King (guitar) hails from outside of Seattle where he played lead guitar with the rock band, Arcadia. He has traveled all over Washington State, as well as Japan, bringing his spectacular guitar playing to delighted audiences wherever he goes. While living in Berkeley, California, KERRY played lead guitar with the K.O. Brothers and was a recording studio player.
He now resides in Hollywood. As well as sitting in with various local bands, and composing music, KERRY KING designs loops, modifies effect pedals, rebuilds guitars and works part time at Guitar Center’s flagship store. He is obtaining his national massage therapist license with the desire to inform musicians how to play instruments without destroying their bodies.
