Edward Herda has a unique story. Earlier this year, Edward quit his job, put down the bottle, and disappeared into the California desert (sans his mobile phone), and began to write about the tornado of emotions that seem destined to destroy his world. His words, filled with reflections about love lost and struggles with addiction, would go on to fill the songs that are on his first full-length LP The Wondrous Folly of Vaughn Frogg, released in March.
“Them Days” is the single from the record and, if you listen closely, you’ll hear a tortured voice that reflects on women, booze, and living life on the razor’s edge of losing it all. It’s a whiskey-soaked gem off a 12-track LP that blends country, folk, and Americana to deliver is an emotional journey through the American heartland buried deep within the soul of Herda, who produces quality and heartfelt folk music. - Coria.it
