Bio
From rural to urban, ancient to contemporary, Ee'da's work encapsulates diversity. Her music traverses hip-hop, soul, folk, reggae and spoken word and is bound together by a unique style resonating with vitality, passion and grace.
Ee'da has worked with a broad range of established musicians including Illuminati Congo(US), Cyclonious (UK), Hugo(AU), DJ Nomad(NZ), Mista Savona(AU) Caveman(JM) and has supported international acts such as Lyrics Born and Dead Prez. She's an incredibly active player on the festival scene, warming audiences all over the country with her heat-felt performances at Island Vibe Festival (NSW), The Woodford Folk Festival (Qld), Rainbow Serpent Festival (Vic) and The Wide-Open Space Festival (NT), among others.
As well being an accomplished musician, Ee'da is also classically trained Indian dancer, an arts educator, an emcee and the creator of Sisters for Sisters, a regular fundraising event that provides support for exploited or vulnerable women locally, and in developing countries. She may wear many hats but Ee'da is driven by a singular passion – for music, the arts and the simple power of expression.
