Eidman Hall

BandPopRock

EIDMAN HALL mixes elements of jazz, pop, rock, and other styles to create a truly fresh and original sound. Some say they are a different shade of John Mayer with a hint of Dave Matthews and a smidge of the Gin Blossoms. They are most certainly in a category all on their own.

Biography

From the depths of beautiful South Texas comes EIDMAN HALL, a Rio Grande Valley based band who has made quite a name for themselves in a short amount of time. Formed in the fall of 2003 by Christopher Garcia (Vocals) and Eddie Hernandez (Guitar), EIDMAN HALL (then known as Evolution) starting earning the respect of listeners by performing at local talent shows and events at their school, The University of Texas at Brownsville. After a few weeks of writing and performing together, the duo decided to expand their sound and look for a piano player. They then found Xavier Gonzalez(Saxophone/Keyboards). After hearing the tunes that Chris and Eddie had written, Xavier agreed to come to one of their Tuesday/Thursday rehearsals. Originally, Xavier was only supposed to play piano. But since his main instrument was the saxophone, he decided to bring it along just in case. That first rehearsal as a trio started what would be the band's amazing signature acoustic sound. That night produced the band's first fully arranged songs, LOVE, TOMORROW, LIKE NO ONE ELSE, and LONELY HEART. It really wasn't your everyday band set-up. For quite some time the instrumentation consisted of vocals, acoustic guitar, and saxophone. Around Christmas time of that year (2003), the group again decided to expand and found Robert Reyes (Drums/Percussion/Vocals). Robert added the missing link to the groups unique sound. Before hooking up with fellow music major Santiago Castillo (Bass), the band spent almost two and a half years as an acoustic quartet. They played everywhere from weddings to fine dining establishments. However, after adding Chago on bass, the band was able to expand their sound, writing, and most importantly, expand the number of venues they could perform at. The band is currently playing consistently throughout the South Texas music circuit in cities such as Harlingen, McAllen, and Brownsville. They have also performed in other cities including, South Padre Island and Austin. Later this Fall (2006) EIDMAN HALL will travel to Tempe, Arizona to record a new EP that is to be produced by Robin Wilson, lead singer of the Gin Blossoms.

Save Your Goodbye

Written By: Xavier Gonzalez

Oh even though I told you
you should stay
You found a way to break my soul today
Please come back to me

It's just so hard to watch you walk a way
Everytime I see you and I say
Please come back to me

There's no use in hiding
Still waiting for the telephone to ring again
So much deciding to do

We've come to far to leave this love behind
All I need is one more breath of time
Save your goodbye
And if you really have to leave this way
I begging please oh baby not today
Save your goodbye

I never thought the end would ever be
It seemed like soon I'd be on bended knee
Please come back to me

You never told me things that I should do
Now he stands in my place next to you
Please come back to me

There's no use in hiding
Still waiting for the telephone to ring again
So much deciding to do

We've come to far to leave this love behind
All I need is one more breath of time
Save your goodbye
And if you really have to leave this way
I begging please oh baby not today
Save your goodbye

Something About You

Written By: Christopher Garcia

There's something about you that makes me feel the way I feel inside
And I can't explain it when it comes to mind

I try to hide it but the truth behind my pain falls from my eyes
Everytime that I see your face

And I can't find the words
To tell what's written in the stars
Just take one look and you will see
That I am meant for you
And you were meant for me

Cause there's something about you that makes me feel the way I feel inside
And I can't explain it when it comes to mind
Cause there's something about you
That makes me feel so alive
I can't describe it

A million faces
As I walk the streets the people pass me by
But I'm lost in the thought of you and I

I try to hide it but the truth behind my pain falls from my eyes
Everytime that I see your face

And I can't find the words
To tell what's written in the stars
Just take one look and you will see
That I am meant for you
And you were meant for me

Cause there's something about you that makes me feel the way I feel inside
And I can't explain it when it comes to mind
Cause there's something about you
That makes me feel so alive
I can't describe it
