Bio

Formed in early 2010, Eight Page has quickly developed into something special. After several years performing as a solo acoustic singer/songwriter and rhythm guitarist for the cover band Fear Liston, Chris Masson enlisted his longtime friend and drummer Jared Fredette, laying the foundation for an original electric rock band. Soon they were joined by Tom Bailey, a solid yet highly creative bassist who both anchors and expands the band’s unique sound. Eight Page’s final member, reuniting with Chris from their cover band that bared his namesake, is Neil Liston, a poignantly understated lead guitarist who isn’t afraid to share the musical spotlight. Together they started to play at local venues in southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In the summer of 2010, Eight Page opened for NEMO/Starbucks Emerging Artist Award winner Mieka Pauley, and in 2011 have opened twice for Move In Stereo, an up-and-coming pop-punk band from Boston. Eight Page recently recorded their first single "Equinox" at Chris' studio in North Attleboro and will be appearing on UNregular Radio in October.

STYLE:
Chris' songwriting combines the craftsmanship and emotional resonance of bands like Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, and Incubus, and singer/songwriters like Paul Simon, John Mayer, and Jack Johnson with the tried and true sensibilities of classic rockers such as Steely Dan and Pink Floyd, as well as some of the indie sensibilities of artists like Fleet Foxes, making for a unique yet broadly likeable sound.
