Bio
The versatile New Mexican band, Cross Country, plays a wide variety of music ranging from classic and progressive country through rock, contemporary, Spanish and even some originals. They are well-known in the Albuquerque area for their unique sound and the breadth of their repertoire.
Cross Country originally formed as a Trio in 2004 with Eileen Sanchez (vocals and rhythm guitar), Patrick Hickey (vocals and lead guitar), and Nora Utrup (vocals and bass). In 2006, they added a drummer, Jim Fafrack with an electronic drum set which allows the band to create a perfectly mixed sound. All four band members are New Mexico natives from the Albuquerque area and Patrick and Nora are siblings while Jim and Eileen are in-laws.
The band has played at clubs and resorts such as “The Tamaya” & "Prairie Star" but can be seen more often in the spring and summer months at art festivals, Corrales Growers Market, Tijeras Open Air Market, Solid Grounds and other private functions in the Albuquerque area.
