"Eileen Joyce"

"Take the wide range, flexible vocal capabilities of Ella Fitzgerald: Add to that Dinah Washington's vocal style that was at home in all kinds of music, be it R&B, Jazz, Blues or POP Put in some of Rosemary Clooneys's excellent lyric interpretations: Throw in lots of Sarah Vaughn's sassiness: Now place on all of this Dinah Shore's glowing smile and you've just created Miss Eileen Joyce."

Eileen’s song writing has many sides such as the sassy, playful lyrics in Why do you Look So Good , Too Hot to Handle, No More Blue Tears , and then the dynamic storytelling of Bluesman, Sweet Fool and Back to the Blues.
Performing live is Eileen’s passion and when she takes to the stage her audience is immediately captured with her down to earth, yet energetic and sophisticated jazz and blues / Rand B style wow’s them everytime!
Eileen has worked with many of the great local blues men such as the internationally acclaimed Dutch Mason . One of the most memorable was to sing ”Bluesman” at the award ceremony for Dutch Mason ‘s induction into the Order of Canada, at the Lt. Eileen is proud to be a member and soloist with the acclaimed group THE NOVA SCOTIA MASS CHOIR in the 90's, touring nationally and internationally . The choir experience is an enriching and rewarding one with the release of two CD’s. “Never Failed Me Yet” won an ECMA for BEST GOSPEL BLUES ARTISTS in 1996.
