Eric Jason Newell

Yea, I'm in "that" category; singer/songwriters alike. But it’s where I've wanted to be since before my mom took me to pick out my first guitar when I was twelve. I've been belting out tunes since Michael Bolton hit the charts with "How Am I Suppose to Live Without You” nearly 19 years ago. I was five. For me, the typical high school angst started well before my teen years. I've always been somewhat of a hopeless romantic which was a tough pill to swallow in elementary and middle school. Fast forward to my college years where I spent more time writings songs than going to classes and more nights playing coffee shop gigs than going out to bars. It was at this time in my life I realized what I am: a songwriter. Every sensation, every moment of inspiration leaves me longing for my guitar, a notepad and a pen so I can capture what I am feeling and share it with any ears willing to listen. I’m currently working on my first full length project and I just really hope people enjoy it and take something away from it that they haven’t felt before. That would mean a lot to me.
