Bio
I was born on June 4, 1977 in Cleveland, Ohio as Eric José Randall. I am the grandson of Madeline Greene. Her voice was very sweet. She recorded with Earl "Fatha" Hines, Jimmy Mundy, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton and many more. One of her most popular songs recorded was the jazz standard "It Had to Be You". This was recorded on RCA Victor back in 1941.Madeline Greene would soon marry my grandfather Willie Randall. Willie was an alto sax player who also performed with Earl "Fatha" Hines and had his own orchestra. My grandparents originally inspired me to make music. Throughout elementary school I would play the keys on a piano, before, during and after school. On my 13th birthday I received a keyboard. Without my family having much money and in-between working as a roofer with my family and school, lessons had to be self-taught. I have studied some of the finest musicians. This has led me to respect the history that came before me. Now residing in San Francisco I have the unique opportunity to work with bay area bands and write music. My music comes from what I've lived and was created originally for me - from me. I am now ready to share my songs with the world.
