""Beautiful Vocals" "High Energy Music""

...."Forbidden Love" is an excellent, well written combination of powerful beautiful vocals, sultry whispers, and high energy music, and will have you moving on the dance floor and pulling your partner just a little closer while you mimic the whispers of ....." do you love me?" ....imusicweek.mu

Well, EL's voice is an original, alright. Really different. At times sounding like a open-throated black woman, and at others, she's putting on the Bowie, strutting past store fronts like she owns the block. The latter can be applied to her short version of Grace Slick's 'White Rabbit', which is about the anti-Christ of that timid woodland creature's personality.
But for something all her own, and uneasy to describe.....is 'My Inspiration', and it's crooned like a spider singing a lullaby to a sleepy little girl. Yeah, any moment now the girl's going to wake up and scream, scream. Yet the music is gentle and contains winter beauty, while EL might remind a person of Toni Braxton's big sister. Not bad for a white girl! .....MusicDish Industry e-journal Ben Ohmart (Assistant Editor) Musicdish.com

NY Rock Street Beat, Bill Ribas - "My Inspiration" ....big new age number, that sounds like background music in that movie where Tom cruise was trying to save a Unicorn. The cover of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit," is done in a kind of Yanni meets Depeche Mode style. New age stuff ain't really for me, but it's done well here......nyrock.com

EL has always had a love for music that started as early as she could walk, talk and sing. She played piano, danced sang and composed music for most of her life. Her mom Philomena, an incredible singer, deeply influenced her with her beautiful voice as a child.

She played in original bands in the Connecticut/New York area including, Bwilde as keyboard player and back up vocalist, and front person for Battraxx, Amberrain and Johnny Plays with Matches. EL played in many venues throughout the Connecticut/New York area. As a guest artist she performed in Tampa and Los Angeles. EL also had the pleasure of being pulled up on stage with Tower of Power to sing the background vocals for "Your still a young man" at a Wesleyan University Spring Fling.

Johnny Plays with Matches won the 106 WHCN-FM 1991 Connecticut's best top ten rock band award for best original song called "Feed the Fire" which EL co-wrote and sang. The song received airplay, in regular rotation, for two weeks on the station. Rock Fax Magazine, Nickel Studios and 106 WHCN-FM, who sponsored the contest, netted 300 tapes with ten finalists.

One of EL's favorite shows was when she was featured as "Kashmir", a guest artist for the band "Children of the Beat", held at the Beacon Theatre in Orlando. The show was wild, the audience was dancing on top of speakers with her and EL was dressed in a light blue plastic jacket, black lace cropped top and blue velvet hip huggers with a very long straight slick backed pony tail.

In Tampa as a solo artist, EL began to write, record and produce her CD single. She formed Bay Island Records, Inc., and Bay Island Music Publishing (ASCAP). She created her website bayislandrecords.com which she designs and maintains and bayislandradio.com. Bay Island Records is now an LLC.

She moved back to Connecticut in 1999, where she lived in post and beam style restored hayloft apartment in a 200-year-old barn in Northford, Connecticut and joined the band Amberrain. (Her sister Frances photographed the CD cover for the single at the barn). Here in Connecticut, she met her Guitar player, Gary Potts. She left the band Amberrain after a few months and released her CD single in July of 1999.

She performed two showcases in February at the Millennium Music Conference 2000 in Harrisburg, PA which drew a lot of attention to her music.

"My Inspiration" received a lot of the attention. How many times did she hear "I can't stop playing this, "I love this song" "This is the perfect wedding song" "My Inspiration" truly was written from the heart. "My Inspiration" reached #2 on Billboardtalentnet radio. EL was listed # 6 favorite artist on the site, which was listed in the February 19th, 2000 issue of Billboard Magazine.

"White Rabbit" aired on WSAM in West Hartford, CT. 106.3 FM, the DJ Paulie Show, syndicated on 417 radio stations in the US and Canada, online and Cable TV Channel 4.

EL lived in Los Angeles, Tampa and London before returning to Connecticut where she finished recording and released her new CD.

She met AleX Westerberg and they formed EL-X Nine and they recorded and released the 8 minute original version of Forbidden Love produced by AleX and DJ Manic.

The track "Forbidden Love" "Cruisin and "I'll Be Here" are collaborations between EL and AleX Westerberg, Producer and owner of WM Records, Tacoma, Washington.

"Forbidden Love rm" was selected to be on the 2005 South Beach, Miami, Winter Music Conference CD.
