Bio
Ela Debska - Polish, exceptional singer, has graduated from 2nd degree School of Music and Theatrical Academy in Wroclaw. During her studies she was working in Wroclaw opera and went for a tour in Italy singing Verdi's operas. As an actress, she played in many films and participated in creating the music for them. She cooperated with famous polish movie directors like: Jan Jakub Kolski, Janusz Kondratiuk, Krzysztof Zanussi. She was also working in a few theatres in Warsaw.
Finally she has found her place in music. In her concerts an important element is a contact with an audience. She cooperated with Maciej Zembaty, who has popularised Leonard Cohen's music in Poland and translated most of his songs. They still travel together through Poland playing sucessfully many concerts. She performs regularly in Warsaw and Paris clubs as "Utopia", "Cafe Universal" etc. and her appearing always guarantees great atmosphere.
She recorded a single " Odeszla " which was popular in many local radio stations and was on the top list of Radio Krakow. She sings covers equal as well as her original songs, but always
in her own unique style.
Since a year 2007 she has been living in Paris, playing concerts and recording her own album. She cooperates with Khalil Chahine, Richard Bonnet, Philippe Javelle, Mauro Serri, Eriq Tiitaming, Sal Bernardi and many others.
Her favourite artists are Tracy Chapman, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, Buddy Guy.
