Elastic
Sleep are five musicians bringing their manifold talents to bear on a
single musical vision. Through their dreamy shoegaze and blissful
melancholic dreampop, Elastic Sleep's music could be torn straight
from a frayed subconscious. Following their first two singles;
'Anywhere' and their haunting cover of 'You Only Live Twice' the band
released their debut EP 'Leave You' on April 28th through FIFA
records (UK) and Big Tea records (UK) on 10รข€? white vinyl. This
latest release has already received critical acclaim from the NME,
the Irish Times, Hot Press and God Is in the TV. Picking up airplay
from BBC6's Gideon Coe, Dan Hegarty (2FM) and Paul McLoone (Today FM)
as well as the title track video premiering through Filter Magazine
things are certainly looking up for this Irish quintet.
The
band are already making waves with their visceral live performances
having played along side Girls Names, Fight Like Apes and 80's new
wavers Chameleons. This summer will see them tour Ireland and play
their first festivals including a main stage slot at Indiependence.
