Elastic Band

Almost three years have passed since the first release of "Boogie Beach Days" (Rock On / Chesapik 2009). The Elastic Band debut album combined electric mandolin, samplers, banjos and acoustic guitars, creating a sound reminiscent of 60’s US psychedelia. The making of 'Boogie Beach Days' took a full year; it was recorded entirely at home, but finished in London by producer Mike Pelanconi (Lily Allen, Graham Coxon,etc.). The record was chosen as the best Spanish pop album of 2009 by Spanish Indie Music Awards. Besides, live concerts had a great impact on all audience thanks to their bouncing performance.

Now the group led by multi-instrumentalist Pablo Román presents "mood", a collection of songs inspired by new-wave bands from the late 70's and early 80's. The new album will be released in early November.

While a country and psychotropic atmosphere prevailed in the first album, the new recording is filled with urban and frenzy tunes where twelve-string electric guitars, keyboards and neon lights take the leading roles.
