The Elastocitizens formed in the winter of 2005 and played their first gig 2 months later. The response from the sold-out crowd was ecstatic and it was clear that this was no ordinary debut. Drawing it's 12 members from such diverse worlds as dance, theatre and jazz the Elastos successfully combine all these elements into a powerhouse dance-party stage show that is anchored in the strong grooves of heavy funk while looking forward to something completely new.
For the uninitiated, an Elasto show is a completely different kind of live band experience. With their outlandish P-Funk inspired costumes, sexy choreography, and heavy, horny funk assault, the Citizens don't wait for the people to party, they bring the party to the people. The over 900 people who have danced with them in their first 6 shows can testify to the fact that once you've been stretched out by the citizens, there ain't no going back.
