Too Much Too Soon

Written By: Rita Bratovich

Too Much, Too Soon

It’s a bittersweet surprise
It’s enough to make me weep
Finding a love that’s a ‘once in a lifetime’
But it’s one that I can’t keep

You caught me unprepared
There are things I need to do
Cause I’m on a quest to see what I can be
And there isn’t room for two
No, there isn’t room for you
It’s all

Too much, too soon
This is crazy, yes I know
But I have to let you go
‘Cause it’s
Too much, too soon
Although the perfect man
Was part of my perfect plan
Baby you just came along too soon.

You’re a bird in my hand
But I have to set you free
Cause I’m in a cage
Trapped by my own dreams
It just wasn’t meant to be…it’s all

Too much, too soon
This is crazy, yes I know
But I have to let you go
‘Cause it’s
Too much, too soon
Although the perfect man
Was part of my perfect plan
Baby you just came along too soon.

I thought that I could have my cake
And keep it on a shelf
Go into the world and make
Something of myself
Then find someone to share it with
All in good time
I got…

Too much, too soon
It was a perfect plan
You might have been that man
But don’t they always go astray
Those best laid plans of mice and fools like me
Well…maybe someday…
Baby you just came along too soon

Know

Written By: Eleanor Baker and Rita Bratovich

Know

V1:Don’t doubt a thing
Don’t lie awake in bed at night
Wondering
Just close your eyes
And think about the way I look at you
Think about the way I touch you
Leave your fears behind
Fill your head with tender thoughts
And ease your mind
If I can’t be there to tell you

Ch:Know
What it is to be loved
Cause I’m thinking of you
Every moment
Know
As you walk through your day
I’m right there beside you
Trust your heart
Know

V2:When I’m away
I know the tricks that loneliness can play
But don’t give in
I’ll send my angels to you, darling
They’ll chase away your demons
So don’t shed a tear
Close the distance with a smile
Pretend I’m near
Feel my hand upon your cheek and

Ch:Know
What it is to be loved
Cause I’m thinking of you
Every moment
Know
As you walk through your day
I’m right there beside you
Trust your heart

Br:Cause I’m one thing in this world
That you can take for granted
Just believe in me
And never feel alone

Ch:Know
What it is to be loved
Cause I’m thinking of you
Every moment
Know
As you walk through your day
I’m right there beside you
Trust your heart

Ch:Know
With each breath that you take
I’ll be breathing with you
Missing you
Know
Every hour you’re awake
That I’m dreaming of you
Trust your heart
Know

Helplessly Drawn To You

Written By: Rita Bratovich

Helplessly Drawn To You

Hearing your voice
Going ‘round in my head
Singing songs that we made
Thinking of times when we played
Thinking of you
Once it was over
I promised I just wouldn’t care anymore
And I
Made that vow to myself
But before I even spoke it
I broke it

Ch: It’s like an ebbing tide
Pulling me in
Taking me under
Won’t let me go
So I take a breath and go with the flow
Helplessly drawn to you

Every sin
That you left on my skin
Is too hard to forgive
Makes me want to relive
Each little moment
We had
Night after night
When I turn off the light
I can’t keep the desire
Away
Though I know in my heart
Each time I say that I’m trying
I’m lying

[chorus]

Br: Wave upon wave
Wearing me down
Can’t fight it or else I’ll drown

Needing your arms around me
Rescuing me

Won’t let me go
So I take a breath and go with the flow
Still drawn to you

No Parade

Written By: Rita Bratovich and Eleanor Baker

No Parade

Verse 1
Fading light
It’s cold
And quiet
We’re on the street
But no one
Is out here
Thought I heard you say
A band would play
And the coloured floats
Would pass this way
We tried to make it work
Tried to find our laughter
Somehow fate
Was never on our side

Chorus
There’s no parade
The skies
Don’t look like they’re clearing
No parade
Goodbye
Is all that I’m hearing
I waited in vain
It started to rain
Then it all got washed away
No parade ever came

Verse 2
I felt your words
Come down
Start forming puddles
It all fell apart
And nobody’s celebrating
Like a child on a lonely corner
Gotta face the truth that it’s over

Chorus
There’s no parade
The skies
Don’t look like they're clearing
No parade
Goodbye
Is all that I’m hearing
I waited in vain
It started to rain
Then it all got washed away
No parade ever came

Bridge
The banners all were waving
The lights were strung up in rows
Thought something special was coming
But it never showed

Chorus
There’s no parade
The skies
Don’t look like they're clearing
No parade
Goodbye
Is all that I’m hearing
I waited in vain
It started to rain
Then it all got washed away
No parade ever came

Outro
Everything turning grey
Nothing coming this way
Turn around and go home
Soaked, cold and alone
Felt good at the start
Then it all fell apart
Washed out like
Streamers in the rain
