Kosta Lois
Producer/Composer

Kosta Lois was born in San Francisco and grew up in the Seattle area. He has studied music and played piano ever since he can remember. His father, a renowned player of the bouzouki (a Greek instrument) was Kosta’s first introduction to music, and was one of his many teachers. Growing up, he took a liking to the piano, and began taking lessons and learning the technique behind the instrument. This led to a profound interest in improvisation and in the creation of music, which began a journey into composition. His first serious composition at age 18, ‘An Expressive Token’, was performed by the Seattle Symphony for their Young Composers’ series.

Going into college, Kosta chose the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA for his education because of their unique approach to teaching, and their excellent programs. This is where his fascination with recording and production emerged. As well as studying a lot of jazz music and composition, he was introduced to music production by his mentor, Terry Setter. Kosta then went on to record his debut album, ‘In Many Ways’, containing 9 of his jazz compositions.

After college, Kosta moved to Chicago where he continued producing, performing and writing music. This is where he honed in on his craft, working on many artists’ albums, as well as working in the advertising business. Kosta was also a big part of the Greek music scene in Chicago’s Greektown, playing in various nightclubs.

In 2004 , Kosta moved to Los Angeles eager to further his music career. This is where he met with Adam Snyder and formed Electric Eel Productions taking on the role of producer/composer.

Kosta prides himself in working on any musical project and really getting to the heart of what the music needs, as a composer, arranger, pianist and producer/engineer. He loves a challenge, and enjoys the inspiration he has to draw upon from the many styles of music he loves and has been exposed to.

Adam Snyder
Composer / Operations Manager

It all started with his dad’s tennis racket when he was 8 years old. Pretending it was a guitar, Adam Snyder would perform many concerts at his parent’s home in Deerfield, Illinois. At age 13 he decided to finally take guitar lessons. After realizing that music was something he was passionate about, Adam then chose to practice every day and learn the craft of music.

Fast forwarding to college, he then decided to pursue a degree in music. In his years at Winona State University, he played guitar in a variety of groups – a 70’s rock cover band, jazz combos, funk bands, a reggae group, and even studied classical guitar. Honing his skills even further by playing live concerts, Adam decided to take on the role as band leader / composer in his 12-piece R&B band ‘Funk Stew.’

Finishing college, he moved on to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis / St. Paul to start another band. It was there that Adam wrote, arranged, co-produced, and recorded his first electro-rock album titled ‘A Perfect View’ with producer Mark Berg. It was at this time that he started sharpening his ability as a studio guitarist.

A few years later in 2004, the wanderlust inside told him it was time for the ‘the big move’ to Los Angeles. Adam continued to write and arrange more material in a variety of styles, as that is what inspires him. Not long after settling down to his new California surroundings, he teamed up with Kosta Lois to form Electric Eel Productions. He proudly performs the role of composer / operations manager.
