Electric Grioland mission is to develop a new style of music that explores the classical foundations of African music, utilizing traditional and neo-traditional sound sources and concepts as a framework point of reference. By loving and believing in what we do, we will inspire each other and our audience to feel as passionately about the music in our diverse repertoire. Our ultimate goal is to accomplish artistic brilliance and set a high standard for future generations.

A high-energy celebration of polyphonic rhythms, Electric Grioland unifies many styles of world music into one distinct voice. We link the past and the present, the sacred and the secular with a symphonically textured fusion of traditional and contemporary drumming and choral compositions. “Many Cultures, One Song” is our group mantra.
