"Electric Shakedown"

The Electric Shakedown. Well, they certainly provided enough pomp to let everybody know they were on stage and ready to go ("Stubb out that cigarette man, I hear the sound of guitars warming up!" ...and one hour later you're still left wondering if it is actually the act...). They get a roll on. They are good, if not very good, musicians. This, in true rock style is all that excuses the aforementioned behaviour. They are rather Datsonesque... the singer has about an inch more hair in length... but there's not much in it. It is absolutely a shakedown and very well polished, very refined rock'n'roll. I danced to that as well. The beats were indeed incredibly joyous if not all too inspiring in a what-the-fuck-is-this-it's-fucked-i-love-it kind of way. Solid, well driven and driving fast, fun - like The Wiggles but rock'n'roll... Ok that's not entirely fair - I think The Wiggles had more members and these boys will sooner fall victim to paedophilia rather than commit it...
