"Electric Shepherd - S/T"

Psychedelic material that ranges from the classic styles of late Peter Green Fleetwood Mac to more abstract depressingness. They are very authentic both in sound and style but you really gotta be in the mood for this kinda material. 7 full songs and an introduction from these guys who hail from San Francisco, CA. USA.

It goes from kinda weird to full on weirdo music and all points in-between and leaves you asking why at times? Oh yeah, cause it's kinda druggified and that''s the idea I guess - but are they totally stoned or tripped while writing and performing this stuff - the truth is out there in space I guess - hahaha.

If you wanna be part of this colourful journey then be sure to check out numbers like 'Down The River'; 'Mildred Harris'; 'Mapping Your Innermost Trails' - awake o' traveller.... Have the substances wore off yet? - I guess not. Now stay away from the brown acid or you'll end up coming up with f*ck*d up drawn out instrumentals like 'The Misled Herd'.

Playing this stuff loud at a party is gonna guarantee a chance-raid from the local narcotics-busting squad!!!

Electric Shepherd (self-titled) LP (CD) - 2010

Electric Shepherd formed in the summer of 2009 by three native San Franciscan school friends - Mark, Sonny, and Tommy. The idea was to create very intense, visual music - a conceptual project, yet unpredictable and sporadic - dystopian and abstract in theme. Influenced by such likes as the 1960s SF psychedelia scene, the delta blues, heavy metal, and a healthy does of sci-fi novels and Beat poetry, the trio self-released their debut, s/t record, "Electric Shepherd" in Fall 2010 and have played many a show around the Bay Area. These include various club dates with SMiLE Presents!, self-produced Psych Fests, a Rasputin Music in-store performance, DIY street shows, and two mini-tours of Southern California.

As of March 2011, Electric Shepherd have been featured in Music Connection Magazine, the SF Examiner, Amoeba Music's "Home Grown", Metaliville Webzine (UK), Portland's Dagger Magazine, and RockWired.com. They are also on regular rotation on Los Angeles's ErrorFM and Radiobuzzd online radio stations. But this is only the beginning for this young, San Franciscan threesome...
