"Locals to look out for!"

"Their modus operandi is the progressive fusion of rock, jazz, and funk meant to satisfy the heart, hips, and head. By gigging hard and recording with Juno nominee/Western Canadian Music Award winner Lenny Milne (Romi Mayes, Perpetrators) Electric Soul has created a gem of an album that makes good on all their promises and lives up to a live show that may be one of the tightest in the city" - The Manitoban

"Album Review"

"Their style of implementing elements of jazz, rock, psychedelics, blues and other various influences is a refreshing reminder that bands are still willing to explore the roots of rock. Electric Soul are on the verge of discovering themselves and it’s journey a worth listening to." - The Scene Magazine

Bio

Since summer 2011, Winnipeg quartet Electric Soul has been creating its own energetic and progressive fusion of rock, jazz, and funk meant to satisfy the heart, hips and head.

Formed after the dissolution of Dave Guenette (keys, vocals) and Ed Durocher's (guitar, vocals) band Fusion Daze, the duo recruited bassist Chris Tuscherer and drummer Joey DeCosse to round out the line-up. Using songs from Fusion Daze as a starting point and taking the name of Dourocher and Tuscherer's former band (a Thursday night staple at the King's Head), the band began rehearsing and playing shows all over Winnipeg, and quickly released its debut EP The Light that Burns Beneath.

The band is currently maintaining its hectic show schedule, and is preparing to record its debut full-length Second Paradise at Bedside Studios with Juno nominee/Western Canadian Music Award winner Len Milne (Romi Mayes, Perpetrators) for release in spring 2013.
