Electric VooDoo is a high energy blues/jam band. Formed around 17 year old blues guitar phenom Reno Roberts. They are a new breed of blues band with a very strong groove/jam feel but still rooted deeply in the blues.

Biography

ELECTRIC VOODOO WAS FORMED IN NOVEMBER 2002 AROUND (THEN 15-year-old GUITARIST) RENO ROBERTS WHO’S LOVE FOR MUSIC IS SURPASSED ONLY BY HIS ABILITY. RENO IS PROVING TO AUDIENCES NIGHT AFTER NIGHT THAT YOU CAN PLAY AND LOVE TO PLAY THE BLUES AT ANY AGE. NOW 17 RENO IS ONE OF THE BEST BLUES GUITARIST ANYWHERE YOU HAVE TO SEE AND HERE HIM TO BELIEVE HIM.

ALSO, APPEARING IN ELECTRIC VOODOO IS RENO’S FATHER JAMES ROBERTS A 20 YEAR VETERAN OF THE MUSIC BUSINESS. JAMES HAS BEEN IN BANDS THAT HAVE OPENED FOR SUCH ACTS AS WET WILLIE, DELBERT MCCLINTON ,GATEMOUTH BROWN AND BROTHER CAIN. JAMES BRINGS STRONG VOCALS AND HOT GUITAR TO THE ELECTRIC VOODOO TABLE.

JASON ROGERS VOODOO BASSIST HAS BEEN PLAYING THE CLUB CIRCUIT FOR 5 YEARS. HE BRINGS A GREAT GROOVE AND JAM FEEL TO THE BAND BY INCORPORATING HIS LOVE FOR SUCH JAM GREATS AS PHISH THE GRATEFUL DEAD AND WIDESPREAD PANIC INTO THIS JAM-BLUES MELTING POT WITH GREAT FEEL AND ABILITY. JASON IS ONE OF THE SOUTH’S BEST BASS PLAYERS

ROUNDING OUT ELECTRIC VOODOO IS DILLON TAYLOR ON DRUMS. DILLON’S SOLID AS A ROCK APPROACH TO DRUMMING KEEP’S THE WHOLE MUSIC MACHINE MOVING FORWARD FOR ELECTRIC VOODOO. A 5-YEAR VET TO THE CIRCUIT THIS IS DILLON’S FIRST BLUES BASED BAND BUT YOU COULDN’T TELL IT TO HEAR HIM PLAY. DILLON PLAYS WITH FLARE BUT ALWAYS IN THE POCKET.
