Well its a strange story I (Geoff Keogh) have been a long Fan of Electronic music & always wondered what the sound of an Irish element introduced into the mix would produce. now I know we have this already with Enya ,Clannad etc. but with my own perspective on it moving out of traditional celtic music structure into a new genre. After following for many years electronic music around the world one artist in mind would be Tangerine Dream followed by Kraftwerk & Jean micheal Jarre also Mike Oldfield . It was time to put together my own ideas on how I feel about music . after studying Sound Eng. & Music Technology City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 & completed some electronic music production courses. It was a chance meeting with a music producer in Dublin that lead me to recording my first album " Digital Fields" in june 2008 from here it went forward to recently recording a new version of the title track in Realworld studios UK (Peter Gabriel) . I use elements of Acoustic instruments mixed with Electronic Synths ranging from Moog to full digital models of today. Access Virus being the latest addition. So still holding the analog feel to the music & bringing in Celtic melodies & atmospheres . The music itself has attracted interest in different areas such as short movie & documentary. Some tracks has the soundtrack feel to them while others would has dance/ electropop elements. midway this year I met up with a classical musican that has brought another influences into the mix & that has taken a new view on board. Annabelle now has a place in ElectroCelt along with other music friends such as Conrad Gibbons , Stephan Whitlan , David Fox & Tim Pullen . A live performance is on the horizon in October as part of the DEAF Festival 2009 (Dublin Electronic Arts Festival). I will be supporting Ulrich Schnauss on this Dublin Gig .
