ElectroCult Circus

ElectroCult Circus/Castle SignalFlex Productions started its tumultuous career back in the Spring of 2001, in a sleepy little town known as Defiance Ohio. Born from the minds of Matthew 'Mondo' Marroquin and Casey 'Oddfellow' Ward, they joined forces with local rock and roll legend and troubadour Curtis 'Loot' Sauber and Angelina Marroquin.

In the beginning it was a small cult film played on the local public access channel known as DCTV, run by Norman Compton. Ecc's films and comedy/music shows in association with Northband and Silly Goose opened up the local media channels in the region, laying waste to all strict policies and enforcement of FCC laws and regulations. They were eventually kicked off the air by local community authorities and Mayor Tom Wiseman for their crazy antics and strange brand of art.

So in what was to become a common theme for the collective, they morphed into another beast, this time a rock n roll band, with a wild stage show and on stage videos that continued to raise questions of morality and what true art really was. They
took their Cult Circus across the state and into regions of Illinois, and Indiana, conscious of their predecessors (Johnny Appleseed, The Beatles, Ween) whom traveled their own regions planting their own seeds of creativity and wisdom in the fertile minds of the human subconscious.

They eventually settled into Columbus Ohio where they birthed the most artistic and juicy fruits to date. Bands such as ElectroCult Circus, Infinite Crown, Blue Eyed Gunslingers, Thick as Thieves, and Besieus were just the beginning of their rock
and roll endeavors, befriending the likes of Andyman from Cd101 and the best area promoters and artists to help. They also created more complex forms of entertainment, like the infamous MONSTER, a strange breed of beast and performance art that can still be heard roaming the idealistic countryside and premiering with the Couchfire Collective at Agora and in Junctionview Studios.

ECC/CSF is also responsible for such productions as the Erotic and Roll shows 1, 2 and 3. A very sexy rock and roll stage show done with live burlesque group, The sex kittens and Only Flesh. Adorning the nightlife in clubs like Ravari, Circus and
Skullys to name a few.

ECC/CSF in conjunction with BlindChaos and Cd101 has also produced four For the Kids benefit shows with bands Blue Eyed Gunslingers and Besieus.

Currently the gang are working on their continuing live and pretaped comedy variety show with local group Fabb Vision and Madlab called The Skitzo Show, which is a strange amalgamation of sensationalist video and music brewed up in a hot bath of enlightenment and laughter for the pineal gland to open and devour with joy. Future projects on the tree are WAKEUP! shows, which are for the sheer purpose of opening peoples closed off views of their personal reality and a cartoon about a fledgling rock band known as The Rotting Toadstools.
