Bio
The Electrolights were formed in the summer of 2005 on a rooftop of a 40 floor building. As the sun set that night and fog engulfed the buildings of downtown Chicago, The Electrolights created a sonic beast that instantly soared into the night sky. Inspired by bands such as "The Warlocks," and "The Secret Machines," The Electrolights set out to further define their musical style. The result was a gigantic euphoric sound that makes it easy for it's lisreners to get lost in. After cranking out several songs from July to September, the three-piece played their first show in the fall of the same year. Jeremy Gordon (writer, Paw Print) describes the sound as "psychedelic fuzz-rock, reminicent of Pink Floyd." Just after Thanksgiving, The Electrolights set out to Stray Dog Studios to record their first demo, a five-track record reflecting the band's dynamic ideas and many instrumental effects. The Electrolights have played at many venues since such as the Beat Kitchen and Cornerstone and the song "Watch Your Step" has recently been played on WTBU radio in Boston.
