Elias Bernet Band

Elias Bernet’s love and respect for the Blues can be felt in every note. For his musical creativity and works he was awarded the “Culture Award” from the canton of St.Gallen in 2005. Besides club concerts and gala events, the 25 year old St.Gallen native is able to add performances on Swiss television, on various radio programmes, on the Blues Boat at the Montreux Jazz Festival, at the Blues Festival in Lucerne and many other highlights to his list of successes.
In February 2006, Elias was invited by Philipp Frankhauser to be a part of the impressive and high-quality „Blues Stubete“in Muehlethrunen fort he third time. In the summer of 2006 Elias had the opportunity of gaining exciting stage experience in three US states together with Randy Lippincott and Charlie Love. After that the CD „takin’ the path home“ was introduced and played on the radio show „The Blues Café“ (Philadelphia). In 2007 and 2008 the Elias Bernet Band performed at various notable Blues and Jazz Festivals (see references).
On the 12 of February 2010 the Elias Bernet Band’s new album „life is a ball“ is going to come out. The album convinces with its refreshing and exceptionally versatile songs with the influences of Blues, Soul, Funk and Boogie-Woogie. The recordings were made under the direction of the producer Greg Galli, who works with musicians such as Marc Sway, Michael von der Heide, Fabienne Louves, Vera Kaa and many more. 11 of the 13 songs were written by Elias Bernet and Greg Galli. The CD, which was recorded together with the energetic and high-quality tour band, is enriched by brilliant horn sections and charismatic backing vocals and adlibs by Freda Goodlett. As a crowning finish Elias sings a touching duet with Vera Kaa.
