Biography

Growing up in Wheatfield, Indiana, the boys of Elicit have been playing music together since the good ol’ days of junior high. At a very young age the trio made up of Graham Smith, Nick Jordan and Leighton Fritze knew that music was what they wanted to do and have worked together to produce a sound influenced by punk and grunge rock that has managed to reflect the unique personalities of each of the members who all share the vocals on their songs.

Nick’s musical career began when he picked up the drums to play with his school band. Since then he has been heavily influenced by modern rock, especially by the work of Staind, who has influenced him in his playing. Leighton, the band’s guitarist, had an instant connection with the music and sound of Nirvana, which he blended with pure punk to produce his own unique style of rock. Bassist Graham Smith rounds out the trio bringing a touch of classic rock to the group with his inspiration from the Beatles.

The guys of Elicit draw on their own intense life experiences to find the inspiration for their powerful music, which touches the crowd and at the same time gets them on their feet during their live shows where the trio performs with an infectious energy. As the finishing touches to Elicit’s debut CD are completed you can be sure to hear a lot more from these guys soon and for many years to come!
