Hailing from Denver, Colorado, singer/songwriter Elida Young has taken all of the experiences that have so deeply shaped and affected her and blended them perfectly into a style that is truly and uniquely her own.
The much anticipated release of her EP, Beautiful Oblivion, teamed her up with producer/songwriter Matt Gibson, and legendary mastering engineer, Brian Gardner (Janet Jackson, Nelly Furtado, Eminem), to create an extraordinary listening experience, which beautifully combines captivating melodies and rock edginess with her smooth and sultry vocals.
"I didn't set out to be a songwriter or a singer. But now I look back and discover that I've been writing songs all of my life. Whenever I was so overwhelmed with existence I couldn't express any other way, I would write. It is catharsis really. It's exploration. Writing to me is a chance to find myself, a hope of connecting to others, and a possibility to rediscover the world."
