Bio

Elijah are an upbeat melodic punk band hailing from the Gold Coast, Australia. Chelsie Gardiner fronts the 5 piece, while Stu Petrie and Jade Walters entertain with their dueling axes, and Grant Milling is the drum sergeant. Elijah are also very excited to announce their newest addition to the band, Josh Jenkins on Bass.

Elijah’s influences span the skate & pop punk notables, Bad Religion to No Use For A Name to The Mad Caddies. They are combining the fresher grooves of Panic! At The Disco with the sounds of sirens from the Dance Hall Crashers. It’s hard not compare Elijah to female-fronted Tsunami Bomb, but after 4 years Elijah are carving out their own sound, akin to Paramore and Rise Against.

2007 witnessed the successful release of Elijah’s third EP Lost In Confusion. The group recently headed back to the studio, and down to Sydney to work with Producer Dave Hammer for a special, interim release before the highly anticipated full length. Drummer Grant Milling believes “Hammers productions are world class, so when he was keen to have us down there, we didn’t hesitate to book the flights”.

Releasing their debut EP, "A Broken Apology" in January 2005, the title track was the number 1 downloaded song on mp3.com.au for 6 months after its release. This song also landed Elijah first place in a competition hosted by Big Day Out, with ‘A Broken Apology’ being the most downloaded track from their website. "A Broken Apology" spawned local label interest, and the subsequent Lost In Confusion EP.

After a much deserved break, a refocused, refreshed, and revamped Elijah are back in the are back in the game with their exclusive, digital only iTunes release, PC 4 PC out on 20th May 2008
