A melodic guitar rock band that's been compared to RadioHead and Sunny Day Real Estate

Biography

Formed in Orange County, CA in the spring of 2004 elijahfell is a melodic, guitar driven rock and roll band.

With influences ranging from Sunny Day Real Estate, Failure, Radiohead, Jawbreaker, Hum, and Pinback, elijahfell seeks to create music that is creative, dynamic, and energetic.

The line up is Kevin Earnest: Lead Vocals/Guitar, Ryan Brush: Guitar, Matt Tesch: Drums, and Brian Gilmore: Bass/Vocals. Coming on the heels of 2004's full length release"The Art of Medicine", the quartet has returned less than a year later with "The Skyline EP".

The new EP features 7 of the best songs the band has ever written, highlighted by the title track "Skyline" and album closer "Tightrope". The new EP features the band's original formula for success with booming, catchy, sing-along choruses precision musicianship, and top-notch engineering. However, the band has broken new creative musical ground by tightening their song structure by introducing a new element of string and keyboard arrangements to their guitar driven sound, and each song brings something special to the table.

The Skyline EP was recorded at Orange Crush Studios by Scott Silletta. The band has been playing several of the new songs at their recent shows, and is looking forward to playing all of the songs live. The Skyline EP will be released independently by the band themselves, sometime in September, 2005. Once it is released the new recording will be available for purchase through the band's official website, official myspace page, and at every show, as well as itunes, and CD Now, amongst others.

The band plans to play shows throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, featuring both 21+ and all ages shows to accommodate their rapidly growing fan base. As elijahfell continues to hone its craft through the venues of Southern California, come and watch a band that is a breath of fresh air in a stagnant music scene. Not to mention that they're one of the best unsigned bands around.

The band's music was recently featured on Good Day LA and their song "Mid-Air Collision" was named one of the best of 2005 at preyinglizardmusic.com. elijahfell was also written about in both Skratch and Highwire Daze Magazines during the fall of last year.

Forecast

Written By: Kevin Earnest

Skies are gray
The sun looks warm
And I am putting time away
I never thought that I would stay
Skies are gray
The Skies are gray
The sun looks warm
And I am putting time away
I never thought that I would stay
The skies are gray

Isn’t it strange?
Strange that I can feel the rain?
Caught in a daze of failing
Un-color the phase
The phase that I am wrong again
On this limb I fall (fall)

I will rise and fall again (I will rise and fall)
Sunlight all night I’ll pretend (Sunlight all night)
For your hideaway
For your hideaway

So (and so the) the skies are (the skies are) gray

Isn’t it strange?
Strange that I can feel the rain?
Caught in a daze of failing
Un-color the phase
The Phase that I am wrong again
On this limb I fall (fall)

Ghost Pains

Written By: Kevin Earnest

Honesty will severe certain ties applied to me
So send your message down
Honestly you’re beautiful to me
This heart in me
I wear upon
I wear upon my sleeve

Say what you say
Why won’t you go away?
Baby
Smile on a dial
I’ll let you have your way
Baby
Cuz I’m better off alone.

Honesty will severe certain ties applied to me
So send your message down
Honestly you’re beautiful to me
This heart in me
I wear upon
I wear upon my sleeve

Say what you say
Why won’t you go away?
Baby
Smile on a dial
I’ll let you have your way
Say what you say
Why won’t you go away?
Baby
Smile on a dial
I’ll let you have your way
Baby
Cuz I’m better off alone

Lay your head down
Find the words to say
Without any feeling
And you
Find the way
Find the way
Find the way
Time
Time is on my side

Skyline

Written By: Kevin Earnest

Paid my price
Salvaging sacrifice
Turned in a fly by name
Salvaging blame

Honesty will stand by
Inside I feel the landslide
I’m breaking for the answers
They fall apart in my mind
So never let me find out
Never let it go on with lonely thinking
Catatonic car rides
I idle from the inside
We brake upon the questions
Wish that we could rewind
Yell it with the timeline
Brake without a stop sign
Throw me out
Throw me out
Now

Make sure you believe
When the pain is over
You caught me when I’m sober
My body tells me
I just can’t believe
To wish upon a skyline
To brake against a timeline
My darling I love you
I love you

Catatonic car rides
I idle from the inside
We break upon the question
Wish that we could rewind
Yell it with the timeline
Brake with out a stop sign
Throw me out
Throw me out
Now

Wake me up with silence
And wave to me your goodbyes
There well within the words that I know
I long to listen softly to
Your prophecies about me
And on and on about how I don’t love you

Make sure you believe
When the pain is over
You caught me when I’m sober
My body tells me
I just can’t believe
To wish upon a skyline
To break against a timeline
My darling I love you
I love you

We’re not ever right
But I love you
We’re not ever right
But I love you
We’re not ever right
