we released our first single in 1997 which consisted of two songs which were titled "Abuso Oficial" and "Mysterio" and the purpose of this release was to promote ourselves and present these two songs to Record labels in order to get signed. Then in 1999 recorded an album of 14 tracks but never released it, yet in 2004 they recorded another album and released it in February 2005. El Imperio has obtained the support of local radios like 1600 AM which plays El Imperio's music in their show "Happy Hour" from 3-7 pm daily and also another station is KBNA 97.5 which plays latin Rock and hip hop and El Zol 99.1. In California we also have Vision Radio Network airing our music. One of the major accomplishments by the group was when Univision Network contacted them for permission to use El Imperio's music for Television programs that were aired on the Network, which opened way for El Imperio to perform in Despierta America(equivalent of Good Morning America). We have many of the local clubs already involved in helping El Imperio spread their music whithin the Washington, DC region. International promotion has been great with promotional websites like www.musica.com.sv which is a Salvadoran website aimed at the young latin music fans and reaches a large population worldwide. Also www.ilobasco.tk which is another young latin interactive website which promotes el Imperio exclusively, we are also included in www.elsalvadorrap.com. We hope to get further support from the TV stations both in the U.S. and internationally from the production of our music video titled "Nena". We thank god for giving us hope to continue to work hard to put latin hip hop on another level.

El Imperio is an army of lyrical warriors who are here to unload latin rythm in a hip hop style of genre that is unique and even listeners who don't speak spanish will find our music to be very energetic. The four members of the band consist of 3 Salvadorans and 1 Colombian artists. They grew up in Washington DC, and use to listen to great artists in hip hop like NWA and Run DMC , as they were growing up they were hoping to listen to some latin rappers that would emerge from this wonderful rap genre, but instead of waiting they saw an opportunity to deliver it themselves.El Imperio began in 1994 as two artists only and expanded in 1996 when two other members joined whom are "Fantazma and N-Ferno." The names of the first two members are "Skorpio and IronMan". Our dream is to deliver our music into many countries worldwide.
