Elion

     Akpan Elion was born in Clearwater, Florida and was raised in Memphis Tennessee. He started to exhibit his musical talents at the ripe age of four, by joining along with his parents singing, in perfect harmony. By the time Akpan was in the fourth grade, by observing his dad, he had taught himself how to play piano. He later discovered how to play the trumpet, guitar, and also began writing and arranging his own music. At the same time he was also acting and performing stage plays with a company known as the Nubian League Theatre Co. From high school and the majority of his teen years. He was a lead singer, producer, choreographer, and writer for the R&B group known as “Essential”. In 2002, Akpan Elion joined forces with Lorenzo Carter, who was also a member of the group “Essential”, to originate their own duo ”The Elements”, and produced their first C.D. “Finally”.

     In 2004 Elion produced his first solo R&B/Hip Hop C.D. entitled “First Born Sun”, witch received high praise from major and local reviews in Dallas, Tx. He has opened or performed with such artist as, Eryka Badu, Music Soulchild, and T-Pain just to name a few. 

     In 2006, Enerjyzed Ent, a new and upcoming video gaming company based out of Louisiana, was highly impressed in Elion’s production, editing , and arranging skills. So much so, that they hired him as a Sr. Sound Designer. That also led to Sound design and Sound tracking for radio and TV spots for local and major networks such as Cartoon Network, BET, and many more. 

      Since then, to now, “Elion” has produced, written, recorded, and engineered for a numerous amount of artists and entertainment platforms, major and local, and is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. In 2018 First Born Son Production join alliance with Hurtnice Entertainment Management & Only Son Records to release my first LP in 6 years (The Conversation). Also,with the release of my LP we just debut our first video (I'm Gone).
