Biography

My music is a soul music hybrid.Igrew up listening to :soul, folk, jazz, pop, classical ,country ,rock, funk, soul and blues. Then there was the music I discovered on my own like the Brothers Johnson ,Bela Fleck and A tribe CAlled Quest were big influences in high school.
I took and interest in music and performance from childhood on. Playing both a drums and guitar. I busted the strings on the guitar and continuously lost the pick. The drums I beat holes in and they only got replaced a few times. But the most lasting impression on me was seeing on of my uncles thumping on a bass guitar. Just to see him do it made a big impression that wasnt revived until highschool . While taking a guitar class a buddy of mine noticed how I could learn almost any song on one string and play the harmony on another . He used to tease me about one string solos. And it was partly his suggestion that I play bass. What sealed the
deal was watching bassist Victor Wooten perform at the Jacksonville Jazz festival.I borrowed $150 from my dad and bought my first bass from a pawn shop . I bought a low budget Jaco Pastorius live cd
and began trying to learn some of the material.
I havent looked back since. I have performed with
numerous bands and shared the stage with GAry US bonds, Merrilee Rush , and David Caridean just to name a few. There have been so many comparisons by freinds and fans alike to people such as victor wooten,Stanley Clarke. While playing
in New York I even got an Ornette Coleman comparison while playing in a Manhattan music store!I really hope that I represent music at its best
bridging the gap between the old and the new.Just listen....
